On September 20, the VOT3D project was presented at the XXVI Lower Silesian Science Festival during a workshop led by WUST VOT3D members: Kinga Romańczukiewicz, Paulina Kujawa and Przemysław Dąbek.

During the lecture “Digital transformation of the strategic and critical raw materials industry – innovative technologies” participants learned about the possibilities of using 3D data from laser scanning for numerical analysis of airflow in mine workings. The main goals, measurement technologies and data processing were explained. In addition, a training course was held where participants learned in more detail about the project issues, assumptions, methods and technologies for acquiring 3D data its processing and further air flow computations.

The workshops were attended by 30 participants from technical school. After the lecture, students had the opportunity to try on mining attire, observe the operation of the mobile mapping system, and take a group photo with a thermal imaging camera.
